昨年の大阪・関西万博開催期間中、一部週刊誌の記事において、当社に関する内容が掲載されました。

本声明の公表がこの時期となりましたのは、本件に関係する関係者および当事者との間で、当社代理人弁護士を通じた事実関係の確認を継続するとともに、今後の法的措置も見据え、関係資料、当該事案に関する録画・通信記録その他の客観的資料の整理および保全を進めていたためです。

まず初めに、当該記事には、当社が確認している事実と異なる内容が含まれております。

当社は、事実に基づくご指摘につきましては真摯に受け止める一方、事実と異なる内容が掲載され続けることは、お客様、お取引先様ならびに関係者の皆様に誤解を与えかねないものと考えております。

本件につきましては、昨年の大阪・関西万博開催期間中という社会的影響の大きい時期であったことから、お客様、お取引先様、万博関係者の皆様および関係各所への影響を考慮し、法的措置を含む対応について慎重かつ抑制的に判断してまいりました。

現在は、本件に関する必要な各種資料の整理および保全を概ね完了しております。

今後は顧問弁護士等の専門家と連携のうえ、事実と異なる記載や、当社の信用・名誉を不当に害する一連の行為につきまして、その内容および今後の状況に応じ、必要な法的措置を含め、適切かつ毅然と対応してまいります。

また、大阪・関西万博終了後においても、当社および当社店舗の事業運営に支障を及ぼす行為を複数確認しております。これらにつきましても、関係資料を適切に保全するとともに、必要に応じて顧問弁護士等と連携のうえ対応してまいります。

なお、当社は、本件を含む諸般の事情を総合的に勘案し、2027年に開催される横浜国際園芸博覧会への出店申込みを辞退する判断をいたしました。

この決定は、昨年の大阪・関西万博において関係者の皆様に多大なご心配とご負担をお掛けしたことを重く受け止め、本件に関する対応・整理に注力するとともに、今後の事業運営および社内体制の強化を最優先に考えた結果によるものです。

関係者の皆様には、何卒ご理解を賜りますようお願い申し上げます。

当社は、今回の一件を重く受け止め、今後も法令遵守の徹底、店舗運営の改善、サービス品質の向上およびコンプライアンス体制の強化に取り組み、お客様、お取引先様をはじめとする皆様から信頼される企業を目指してまいります。

一方で、今後も事実と異なる情報の発信、当社の信用・名誉を不当に害する行為、その他当社の事業運営に支障を及ぼす行為等が確認された場合には、その内容および状況に応じ、顧問弁護士等の専門家と連携のうえ、当社として取り得る必要かつ適切な法的措置を含め、厳正に対応してまいります。

改めまして、この度は、お客様、お取引先様ならびに関係者の皆様に多大なご心配とご迷惑をお掛けしましたことを、心より深くお詫び申し上げます。

Statement Regarding Articles About Our Company Published During the Osaka–Kansai Expo and Our Future Actions

We sincerely appreciate your continued support of KORAIDOU Co., Ltd.

During the Osaka–Kansai Expo held last year, an online article published by a weekly magazine featured content concerning our company.

The reason for issuing this statement at this time is that we have been continuously confirming the relevant facts and engaging in discussions through our legal counsel with the parties involved. At the same time, we have been organizing and preserving relevant documents, communication records, and other objective evidence in preparation for possible legal proceedings.

First and foremost, we believe that the published article contains numerous statements that are inconsistent with the facts.

While we sincerely accept comments and criticism that are based on factual circumstances, we are concerned that the continued publication of inaccurate information may create misunderstandings among our customers, business partners, and other stakeholders.

Furthermore, because this matter arose during the Osaka–Kansai Expo, a period of significant public attention, we carefully considered the potential impact on our customers, business partners, Expo-related parties, and other stakeholders.

Accordingly, we exercised restraint and refrained from initiating legal proceedings at that time.

We have now completed the organization and preservation of the necessary materials and evidence. Going forward, in close cooperation with our legal counsel, we will respond appropriately and resolutely, depending on the circumstances, to statements that we believe are factually inaccurate or that unfairly damage the reputation and credibility of our company.

In addition, we have also confirmed incidents of conduct that have interfered with our business, and we intend to address such matters through appropriate measures.

After carefully considering all relevant circumstances, including this matter, we have decided to withdraw our application to participate in the 2027 Yokohama International Horticultural Expo.

This decision reflects our sincere acknowledgment of the concern and inconvenience caused to those involved in the Osaka–Kansai Expo last year. It also reflects our decision to prioritize resolving the matters described above, preparing the necessary legal actions, restoring trust, and ensuring the sound operation of our business. We respectfully ask for your understanding.

We take this matter very seriously and remain committed to strengthening compliance, improving our business operations, enhancing the quality of our services, and earning the continued trust of our customers, business partners, and the communities we serve.
